The purpose of the Advisory group is just that – provide advice to the Project Design Team that is as representative as possible of the larger community’s perspective and work towards consensus on a design solution. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Roles

• Serve as sounding board and advise on design ideas and alternatives
• Reflect the concerns and issues of the stakeholders and larger community interest
• Assist at open houses and community council meetings
• Educate the larger public and stakeholders with factual and accurate information about the project

Responsibilities

• Regularly attend meetings
• Read, learn, and absorb information!
• Attend Open Houses or other special meetings on the project
• Listen, gather and share feedback from other stakeholders
• Keep an open mind
• Work as a team member and respect all viewpoints
• Focus on the big picture – Look to the future and beyond your front door
• Be solution-oriented, participate constructively in group discussions, and work towards consensus
